Even Angels Fall- Chapter 1
(I might redo this overtime as I improve my writing )
Midmorning in heaven was always the most beautiful sight to behold; dew glistened like tiny diamonds as they collected on the variety of pastel coloured flower, which were just starting to bloom as heaven entered Spring time.
Queen Cora, the glorious queen of heaven, was taking in the splendour, which was Prince Fain’s, Prince of heaven magnificent rose garden which was located in the back garden where only a handful of people were authorised to go.
Queen Cora always loved to admire her son’s hand raised pastel roses, which came in variety of blues, pinks, yellows and purples.
As Queen Cora shone like flickering, fire when the half morning sun shone its glory upon it as she walked gracefully through the walkway between the rustling roses.
Behind a bed of blood red roses Prince Fain watched carefully as his mother glided her way thought the rose bed the snow white kimono trailing slightly behind her, breathing a sigh of relief as she passed the bed of red roses without a single glance for his mother hated Prince Fain planting such a demonic coloured rose in the garden that he knew she would stroll thought at midmorning of every day.
Prince Fain again sighed heavenly when Queen Cora disappeared into a concrete door that led to the kings and queen bedroom with was coincidently right next to the door that led to Prince Fain’s room.
“If she caught sight of me the only thing I would be hearing is a lecture on his 16th birthday” Prince Fain said annoyance lacing his tone as he mumbled “even though its months away” under his breath.
He rose slowly, less his mother had come back and force him to duck which might have led to a thorn in his bum but it would all be worth it to just ignore her till dinner.
Not to mention his mother would throw a fit if she saw what clothing he was wearing
A baggy black hoodie that was only partially done up so it revealed a ill-fitting long sleeve red tee-shirt which came past both his wrists and waists bunching up at the end where he was attempting to make it shorter or from trying to get in too the pockets of the baggy light blue jeans which had a brand mark proving it came from earth and it was held up by a bright yellow and pink neon belt
Prince Fain had turquoise hair which flared out and was jagged at the bottom with dark blue streaks, he inherited his turquoise hair from his father Raiden, King of heaven, the streak were from many attempts at dying it with the dye he somehow got from earth but the dark blue always got adsorbs by the turquoise only leave streaks from were the absorbing had fail, which his father and mother noticed and gave him a right lecture, on the left side of his hair was a long, thin plait which contain turquoise and dark blue hair, the plait trailed across the length of his back and ending in a jagged pinot just past his waist.
Prince fain got up and slowly walked towards the tools he used to cared for the roses when his mother suddenly popped her head around the concrete door a large grin forming on her once elegant smile, his was her true personality, childish, tomboyish and most of all annoying.
“ Hmmm I wonder where my little prince fainy is heading” she said sarcastically as she slowly walk towards fain like a feral cat walking up to its prey.
“ Oh um.. Mother!” fain said gleefully faking a childish smile “ I wasn’t going anywhere you know I couldn’t even if I tried” He said in a flaky voice because he knew what was coming next .
“oh my really then where were you trying to go yesterday oh and the day before that and the day before that” she said sarcastically her grin transforming into a smirk.
After 10 minutes of this conversation and 20 minutes playing cat and mouse round the castle grounds Prince Fain was finally able to escape his Cat Mothers chase.
He enter his secret hide out which as a little hidden room he found under the fireplace in the kitchen he discovered it when he was five trying to escape the clutches of a greedy demon who was after him once again for his power.
His power was also the reason he was forbidden from leaving the castle premises, Fain’s clear purple eyes inherited the power to tell someone’s true nature and hidden secrets this was partly what the demons wanted and partly the reason they never succeeded because he would always figure out that there demons before they wanted him to even in their best disguise,.
the other reason they wanted him was for his other power his eyes held which was to read a persons past memories by merely touching them briefly, even if he didn’t wish to see their memories the ability was out of his control.
He asked his father many time “what is the origin of this unique power” and every time hid father repeated the same thing “ i… I dunno “ with sweat dripping down his face this was a obvious sign his father had no intention of telling him….EVER.
But thanks to this second power he had a major trouble and complex when it came to making friends for they would also call him a monster and even worse a demon.
“But one good thing about these accursed powers is that they help me get away from demons that are greedy and want it for their own selfish desires ” he mutter dejectedly to himself but just thinking of those vial demons sent a chilling shiver down his spine.
Which was never good new.
